The Kiwanis Club of Spencer "After Five" was founded in 1996 as a cooperative effort of the three Kiwanis Clubs Spencer Hy-Noon, Golden K, and Daybreakers.

Our New Meeting Location

Our club meets two times per month, on the first and third Tuesdays at 5:30 PM. Please come and visit us and share your ideas. Feel free to have a libation during our meetings. We are now meeting at The Bear at 24 West Park St.in Spencer. It is right on the beautiful Little Sioux River and right by the bridge. The KAF 2018 Rose Sale

KAF had another successful rose sale for 2018. We raised over $2,300 this year for children. The roses were delivered April 10 to some very happy loved ones. Thanks to everyone who bought the roses, delivered the roses, and may the campaign a success. 

Below is a partial list of some of the programs KAF supported in the last year:

• Provide family financial support for a high school student with traumatic brain injury
• Kiwanis International Eliminate Project for maternal & neonatal tetanus
• Clay County Food For Life-meat processing
• Feed The Children (Hope Reformed Church)
• Lakes Area Hockey Association
• Police Appreciation Donation
• Morning With Santa
• Two Scholarships for Spencer High School Seniors
• Spencer DARE Program

Some of our successful projects include: 

• Our Trivia Nights have been very successful
• Clay County Fair Stand–We sell malts, shakes, Tiefenthaler brats, loaded potatoes, and soft drinks
• Our annual Rose Sale every April
• The Annual Rose Sale in April where around 500 dozen red roses are sold.
• The Dad's Belgian Waffle Suppers at the Spencer High School
• Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
• The club participates in the 4th of July fireworks
• We have worked to benefit the Child Protection Center and other health related issues for children
• We and Kiwanis International are all about children. Children are priority one
• We are proud to participate with Kiwanis International in eliminating neonatal tetanus​​
